Event Format

2.1

Pre-Race

2.1.1Registration
Drivers are responsible to complete any registration or pre-race requirements prior to the event. Admins won't be able to make exceptions once the server is live. Specific details available in Jackzer Discord.
2.1.2Event Briefing
A race briefing takes place before/after the qualifying event. In which you will be briefed on track specifics, starting procedure and any important reminders.
2.1.3Attendance
Drivers are requested to be present in the Race Voice channel on Discord for race briefings and/or instructions from the Race Director. You may deafen after the briefing is done. You must be present in this channel for the duration of the race. If admins note that you are in the race session and not in Racing Voice, you may be kicked from the race session.
2.2

Post Race Finish Procedure

2.2.1Cool-Down Lap
Once you've crossed the finish line, each driver is requested to not talk so that other drivers can focus on finishing out their race. Please continue around until at least the 2nd corner of the track, or off at turn one if the runoff allows. Do not hit other drivers as direct drive bases can cause injury.
2.2.2Completion of In-Lap
It is advisable to complete the in-lap; however, this is not a requirement, as some laps such as Bathurst and Spa are quite long.
2.3

Post-Race Replays

Replays will be examined in Discord post-race to help drivers learn and improve racecraft. Drivers can submit incidents as per section 2.3.1. Only formally submitted incidents will be reviewed.

2.3.1Submitting a Racing Incident
To submit a racing incident, use the following format:
  • Driver Names
  • Corner Number
  • Race Name/Format
  • Race Time (in-game timestamp of the incident)

Example: "Driver A, Driver B, Turn 4, Race 2, 14:12"

Submit this in the Incidents channel. Any other information will result in the submission being ignored. Resubmissions are not allowed. Please submit in a timely manner post-race.

2.3.2Incident Review
Involved parties should allow the incident to be reviewed before offering their opinion/point of view. Penalty points will be applied within 24 hours after every race.

Driving Code of Conduct

4.1

On-Track Conduct

Drivers are expected to respect all other competitors on track at all times.

4.1.1Track Limits
All track limits penalties will be determined by the in-game track limit detection systems.
4.1.2Flags
The flagging system used by the Jackzer League is entirely managed by the game being used. Blue flags require you to maintain a racing line while making it easy for lapping cars to get by.
4.1.3Side-by-Side Racing
When in a side-by-side situation, a driver will be deemed to require space if their front wheel centerline aligns with the rear bumper of the car they are following.
4.1.4Defensive Driving
Drivers defending are allowed one defensive move. No weaving or reactive blocking.
4.1.5Use of Spotters/Radars
It is the driver's responsibility to use spotters/radars to help with side-by-side racecraft.
4.2

Driving Standards

4.2.1Skill Level Consideration
As Jackzer's League attracts drivers of all skill levels, there will be a considerable gap in lap times between the fastest and slowest drivers. Faster drivers are asked not to force their way through or bully slower traffic.
4.2.2Penalty System
Standard incident: 15pts. Blocking, Dive bomb(contact), Impeding lapping cars, gaining advantage off-track. Major incident: 30pts. Unsafe rejoin, forcing off-track, etc. Penalties will be applied based on the infraction itself and not on resulting collateral. While novice mistakes are expected, blatant dangerous driving will not be tolerated. Offenders will be removed from the series.
4.3

Grounds for Removal

4.3.1Reportable Offenses
Drivers may be considered for removal from the series for the following:
  • Repeated dive-bombing resulting in damage to another vehicle.
  • Repeated avoidable collisions causing significant damage to multiple drivers.
  • Intentional ramming/spinning or contact meant to remove another driver from the race.
  • Verbal abuse towards other competitors/staff that exceeds friendly banter.
4.3.2Sportsmanship & Apologies
In both real and simulated racing, contact happens, and mistakes occur. Owning up and apologizing for misjudgments is appreciated. While frustration is understandable, repeated verbal abuse will not be tolerated.
4.3.3League Ban Policy
Jackzer/League Admin(s) reserve the right to ban drivers for any misbehavior on track or within the community. If you cross the line of acceptable behavior, we will take appropriate action.
